The nose is reminiscent of the Lindemans semillons of yesteryear. Perhaps I am deluding myself because I know that the Sunshine Vineyard was part of the Lindemans holding in years gone by. Whatever, the straw and emerging toast is there and will build further. The palate is broad and fullsome with all the characteristics of classic aged semillon from the old school of Karl Stockhausen. Karl is still around and I would love to know what he thinks of this wine. The palate has a custard apple and honey character that is very appealing. The high acid of recent vintages is not evident so I would be drinking my remaining five bottles over the next five years. An interesting time travel with this wine.

Light pale straw. Fresh citrus and lively on the nose. Again fresh and crisp with a lemon zest acid finish. A wine that is easy to drink now but I suspect will age and become more complex given 5+ years.
