New Zealand / Australia Trip Dec 2014 / Jan 2015; 12/14/2014-1/8/2015 (Auckland, Martinborough, Christchurch, Sydney, Hunter Valley): Salmon orange in colour. Relatively subtle oxidization, not as crisp as a fino, it has a hint of the aromatic Pinot Gris still left at the back of the palate which gives it a softer finish while having some salinity and a touch of hazelnut. A tasty aperitif but not sure I'd like more than a glass
