Very solid. A bit bloody but the red fruit is still present. Nice with pasta sauce, held up well to the acid. As a couple of days went by, the wine turned inward more, toward its secondary notes of leather and bacon. That worked well with pizza. Not remarkable on its own at this point but solid pairing wine that is aging gracefully.

Nice dark red color. Blueberry, mulled spice and earth nose. Medium bodied, dry tannins and herbs up front, cherries in the back, a bit of heat, and a medium finish. Fine, but a little boring.

Good all around, drinking nicely now. Round in the mouth with fruit aplenty and great with Italian food (predictably). Good acid balance that seems to hit a good sweetspot.

Still quite tart after a 30 minute decant. Took another hour to open up a bit. Recommend a decant of at least 2 hours. Had at Volare in San Diego. Went well with Grilled Italian Sausage and Garlicy Broccoli. This is a varietal I have never had before, maybe somewhere between a petite Syrah and a Cabernet Franc??? I have more bottles and will set them aside until 2023-24.
