Lighter than many Amarone these days, both in Alc% and fruit concentration. Indeed it's arguably as close to a Valpolicella Ripasso as it is to Amarone. That'd not necessarily a bad thing, as whilst not profound, it worked well with food and invited a 2nd glass.
No need to delay opening if you have some, but unlikely to fade quickly
