Smoked hazelnut on the nose with salted pear and lemon; lanolin and lemon peel on the palate...tart and acidic without being overbearing. Almost sulphuric on the finish with a reductive ending. Really impressed.

There were some real high velocity white wines on the table tonight, yet the one I think I probably consumed the most of was this one. To me, the 13 Aubert was second by a hair. Classic white burgundy. Herbal, Terroir driven. Hint of banana bread, almond, melon and Asian pear. Very balanced, and finished with nice acidity and rounded structure. This was beautiful all by itself, but I can imagine how good it would be with local cuisine. A baby!

Initially we mainly get oak and smoke on the nose, but then some tropical fruit, lemon and minerals appear. Grippy and citric acidity that still remains rather careful. There are clear notes of oak that dominates over the fruit. The wine lacks freshness and energy but has some depth and complexity.

Fine Vines Warehouse Tasting (Fine Vines - Melrose Park IL): Walk around tasting, brief note. Under screw-cap. Oddly reductive., impossible to assess.

Wine Tasting Group - Burgundy - Nov. 18, 2018 (Classic Wine Storage, Dallas, TX): A bit reductive but very pretty aromas of minerals, flint, apples and flowers. Palate follows the aromas. The flavors are all so well balanced. A beautiful wine.
