PnP, but better after 15 minutes of air. The color was a dark purple to a faded rim. The nose was a bit reticent. The medium bodied palate showed dark red and black fruit along with some earth and spice. The acidity was juicy and there was a touch of gritty tannins on the finish. Showing some age since our previous bottle almost two years ago, but may continue to hold.

Not quite as enjoyable as the 2013 Lucia Syrah Garys' we had last week. Slo-oxed for 10 minutes -- allowed the touch of funk to blow off and the dark red fruit aromas to show. On the medium bodied palate there were dark red fruits, along with spice and a touch of earth. The acidity was juicy but balancing, with just a touch of tannins on the finish. Could hold for a couple of years.

One of my favorite wines of the month. Gave it some air. Opaque. Fruit forward nose. Big wine with purple and dark blue fruit, but smooth and integrated. Long finish. Probably hitting it's drinking window.
