  2013 Langhe Nebbiolo is a delightful wine with pretty cherry, fresh cut florals and spice aromas. Vibrant, juicy and nicely concentrated fruit with fine balancing structure. Impressive for its level in this vintage.

  Good thing, this is a very solid wine. By solid I mean, it's clearly crafted with enormous confidence and knowledge. Problem is, ambitions seems to have been muted.
  
  Scent and taste very much alike: classical aged nebbiolo flavours, cocoa powder and sour cherry etc: middle body, the wine is clean and homogenous. No age issues at all.
  
  What I miss is finesse and some length / aftertaste; this wine all but disappears in the back parts of the mouth, leaving next to no aftertaste.
  
  So - all in all very decent, but not more than that. Expected more from such a famed winemaker.
  
  As such, the 18 EUR I paid for it are poor QPR, fair value for me ~12 EUR.

  Beautiful perfume, fully resolved and everything nicely in balance. Intense floral nose, subtle red fruit and blackberry, a hint of smoke and something more savory like banana bread.
  Secondary aromas clearly showing but it remains fresh and agile, with a dusting of fine tannin on the end. Plenty of well judged food friendly acidity. Drinking very nicely. Reasonable value.
