SWADE's description of this wine is spot on. I purchased a case ($18/bottle) of this at a tasting two years ago and it has proven to be one of the best value wines I have ever procured. It consistently stood up to far more expensive bottlings at blind tastings and even bested a few of the big boys. I would liken it to Long Shadows Feather in that it finds a balance between over-extraction and firm acidity.
Blueberry, vanilla, and cassis rule the day here. Cheers!

The guy at my LWS recommended this. He knows me. He just came out of a tasting with it. He never recommends anything. I needed a bottle to finish the case. WS gave this a 90. Harvey is usually 2-3 points above what I'd score the same wine. Popped and poured for my wife. I got to this two hours later, despite my wife begging me to take a sip. Primary, garnet stone color. This bubbles up like a cauldron of black fruit stew seasoned with oak. Creamy entry. This opens with blackberry and then just hugely fans out with Creme de cassis mid-palate, demi-sweet black licorice and black pepper. Well measured oak. Medium body, but terrific intensity of the fruit flavors. Plus finish. This is going to run well a while. This has upside in that I suspect it will get more linear and precise as it sheds the baby fat and oak. This was a bit of a stunner. I guarantee you I will buy more than one bottle on my next visit. 92-93.

Had a glass before dinner. Seems like this needs some time. Lots of oak up front followed by some dark berries. Could improve a bit with time.
