  • A very youthful colour - almost like raspberry juice.
Bright young red fruits and a hint of hand cream on the nose.
Fairly ripe, warm red fruits on palate, with a touch of something savoury. But it's very young and very simple.
It's pinot noir, but it could be one from anywhere. No, not anywhere: that's be insulting top kiwi winemakers.
Deeply unimpressive. Could be a poor bottle, I suppose?

  • Popped and poured, at room temperature (c.20 degrees). Dark translucent ruby, with low viscosity. Pretty nose of red berries, hints of rose petals with a touch of woody earth. In the mouth, very silky smooth with some fine tannins which should help support some additional ageing. Decent fruit intensity, fresh with some slightly herbal notes, leads to a medium finish. Decent villages level wine.
