A handsome wine. Some very nice earthy characteristics developing in this: lanolin, toasted peanuts, smoked salt. Yellow plums, sweet lemons, and a salty quality from the nose is here too. The texture is very creamy and the acidity is persistent enough to balance it out.
*Enjoyed over two days and stayed consistent.*

Delicious and mature "la maréchale" from Mugnier. Balanced, slightly creamy, long, fresh, focused. This is full of harmony, and even though it could be a little more complex, it did not fail to please the 4 persons sharing it.

Had been waiting on this for a while, but perhaps should have waited a little longer. It is a really nice white Burgundy, with decent complexity, and medium+ length. The interplay of citrus fruit and non-fruit elements provides a bit of intrigue. I was happy to try it, and next time would let it age more, as it seems to just be opening up now. Glad I had a great deal on it at $62 from Zachys (purchased 8/2016).

Served blind, this seemed flat by comparison and was weakest of the whites. Not a bad wine, it's "ok" and not at the levels of the other. I thought it to be a mediocre Villages wine. Maybe it's young, but I wouldn't be a buyer of this.

Middag med venner: Blind. Smør og steiner, gul frukt, glatt, stor munnfølelse, noe eik, fin kompleks finish. Trodde dette var Cote de Beaune. 92-93
