Fantastic value wine. Sub $18. Black as the night. Ripe, black currant juice, tea garrigue, and a nice firm tannin structure that seems edgy. I liked it. Not tremendous complexity, but enjoyable.

Very similar to the last bottle with lavender and sappy fruit but more of a manufactured note that is hard to explain but seemed a bit fake or too manipulated. Very weird and didn't go away after a few days in the bottle. I'm chalking it up to bottle variation.

Interesting wine. Dark in color. Upon opening it smelled and tasted like a blend of Dolcetto, Marzemino, and Negramaro, showing violets, pepper notes, and oiliness. With a couple hours of air it became noticeably more tannic. Intriguing chalky and pulpy texture.
