Superb. I echo the other reviews, particularly that this reminded me of Compagni Portas and I would have gone for Semillon. Other half couldn’t decide between Sauvignon and Chardonnay. A nice waxy finish which makes me think this could keep ageing gracefully for some time.

Very similar notes to last bottle but has gained a little more depth. Really wonderful for a warm night and could pair with many different kinds of food.

Lovely viognier character. Lightly honeyed and a touch of oak over clear mineral with spice. I expect this will only improve over time. FH never disappoints

Wasn't sure what the actual varietal is though some research turns up info as a Viognier blend. Deeper yellow in glass and gives up very little on the nose, wife said apple juice. Very similar note for the taste-apple and pear with a little crisp acidity. Quite enjoyable, and as with many Forlorn Hope wines, different than the usual.

I didn't buy enough of this one. I never would have guessed Viognier. More like steely Sauv Blanc or Chard. Great cut, citrus fruit, and stoney notes.
