  • A nice dark garnet coloring when poured. Lots of blackberry, cassis with violet on the fringes. The tannins have faded revealing a terrific wine!

  • Opened and poured to a medium purple coloring. Did not open ahead or decant and should have! I took about an hour for this wine to pull itself together and then it was very nice. Lots of blackberry, cassis as some violet on the edge. Per the winemaker's material, this is 100% cab franc, but much more muscular than a Loire cab franc. Assuming proper storage, I'd give this a couple more years, maybe more!

  • Interesting Wine. Dark Purple to Ink in color. Strong nose of fresh berry fruit. High Tannins braced with choclate strawberry finish. Long finish that fades into a tobacco or smoke flavor. All in all, we enjoyed it and it was worth the $25 I payed for it in terms of being something different and pleasing. If their was one way to describe this wine, think rustic farm wine that is only known by a few loacal people and truely enjoyed on the occasions that it is brought out for special the family dinner. Serve this one with a heavy game meat such as venesin or wild boar...... we did and it was a winning combination.
