Clear medium ruby; clean medium plus nose of dried red cherry, black berry, soil, toast and vanilla; dry; medium plus acidity; medium plus tannins; medium alcohol; medium plus body; medium plus flavour intensity, pfn, medium finish; very good quality; drink now or age another 5 years; nice wine but disappointed with the finish - seemed a little short and thin

single vineyard cru, Sangiovese and Malvasia Nera.
Grand multi layers nose with exclusive touch. Earthy notes, chocolate, coffee, cherries, black currant, violet and sweet tobacco.
Round and velvety on the palate, well structured tannins, nice acidity on the finish, slightly warm and concentrated fruit. Internationally styled, classy! 94p

(Mostly) Enfield wines at Red and White (Chicago, IL): The nose here shows a little on the young side, with a hint of new wine smell, but the dried herbs that I love to find in Tuscan wines is here in spades, alongside a bit of clayey earth and some tart black fruits. The acidity here is incredibly fresh and also lends a bit of a red-fruited character to the palate. There is a bit of the dried herbs as well, and the earthiness adds an extra dimension. A fairly concentrated and ripe wine that isn't overweight, this ought to be resting in cellars now.

Plenty of fruit, purity and structure, but I was left looking for more energy and freshness. I think this is backward just now as all the coaxing/swirling I could muster just left me with more of the same. Very fine quality, just not so expressive today (2 hours in decanter); bottle variation? HOLD. recommended
