I assume that Ch. Menota's only white cuvée is the Vin Liquoreux, because this is what I tasted. Deeply golden, with aromas of honey and apricots, this is indeed a poor man's Sauternes or Barsac. Pleasantly sweet without being cloying, this would be a great aperitif with cheeses, foie gras or paté, or appropriate with a lemon tart for dessert. Could certainly use more time in bottle to gain complexity.
