Very pleased with this one. Good fruit in the nose, medium full on the palate. We searched for the right descriptor for the palate, finally stuck with "oily" in a positive sense. It was a good counterpunch to scallops done in butter, as that oily quality was a compliment to the butter but did not pile on the way a Chard might have done. Good balance at this point but the fruit is a bit ahead of the acid, probably best over the next year or so.

pop n pour, consumed over 5 hours. this was great! somewhat of a chardonnay nose, but with the lovely rhone white spice and tip-of-your-tongue flavors i can never place but absolutely love. somewhat of an oily texture, but not lacking in freshness. great with heavier fish dishes or lighter chicken dishes in the summer. or just hanging out by the pool. awesome wine. if scoring, 90-91. no reason to wait.

Thick, unctuous depth. Deep yellow color. I would drink now or soon. I like it a lot, great nose, nice finish and balance - nothing is off.
Also, great bottle design (typical for SL) long cork, the wax is a nice touch. Nice value at this price point. Impressive.
Day 2, upping the score to 92
