Slow Oed for a bit then consumed over 3 hours. Lots of candied red fruit on the nose with garrigue and lavender coming through. Palate shows a little darker cherry (definitely not candied), raspberry and soil. Whole cluster prep shines through with firm stemmy tannins, they are not intrusive but are definitely noticeable.

Translucent ruby color bordering on garnet, transparent at the rim; worried it would be too light. Big bouquet of red raspberry and candied rose. Palate is delightful raspberry, black cherry, and rose. Tannins well-integrated. Medium long finish, although mostly at front and mid-palate. Very nicely balanced. May have to add another favorite vineyard at Winderlea.

Far too young. For the first hour or so this was pretty lean and stern, but did open to show some nice fleshy black cherry and clay notes. Elegant with some brawny edges, if that makes sense. Should age well. Upside from here and better in 5+ years.

Ripe red berries and floral perfume, stupendous balance, vivacious and piercing acidity. Three to five years should reveal a stunning wine. Another great offering from Winderlea. 92-93.
