White fruit, white peach, pineapple, slight hay and some exotic fruit on the fruity nose. The light to medium-bodied palate adds some green apple, pear and citrus, as well as good mineral acidity. Medium to long finish with some bitterness, tapering into stony acids. Fresh and fruit-forward, but the age has rounded the flavors a bit, and there's a hint of understated complexity. Drinks very well now, or hold if you want the complexity to develop further.

Agree with most other reviews, without any malo oak this doesn't do much to distinguish itself from a crispy green apple approach. Maybe with time it will develop some greater depth and soften out, but for now it's much too one dimensional and sadly a clipped affair.

This wine has an elegant structure that coats the mouth with above average viscosity. The fruit is somewhat muted and notes of baked apple with a vanilla backbone permeate. I would prefer a little higher acidity to accentuate food pairing but the bottle is drinking very well right now.

As this is an "unoaked" chardonnay, was not expecting any oak notes. Also, if you research the wine, you will find that there is little to no malo on it either, meant to retain the crisp acidity of the wine, and would not find any buttery notes. That said, I found the wine most enjoyable. Melon and tropical fruit against that crisp acidity and a slight mineral finish. Could be considered a little pricey for an unoaked chard, but understanding this comes from only about a 300 case production and hand crafted, I feel it's worth it.

What's to like? Little nose or fruit, singularly tangy to the point of sour, even after a day. Nothing "striking" here. Would not recommend or buy again.
