Deep earthy red, muddy, solid. Smooth, rich ripe earthy berries. Silky smooth, very well structured, balanced, finishes very clean, black and red cherry, just a soft hint of rhubarb, absolutely beautiful structure. Fine tannins, lovely acidity. Flavours are bright, not overly developed, this feels like another decade will be no problem.

Classic nose, deep cherry, leaning a bit dark, damson and a hint of rhubarb. Excellent weight, smooth velvety palate, some development but still very richly fruit driven. Delicious.

Expensive, but deeply satisfying. Murky deep ruby. Intense complex nose. Even more intense and complex palate. This has everything. Ripe strawberries, bramble, game, forest floor, touch of Brett. Tremendous length. Thick velvet palate. Drinking beautifully now but this should live for quite some time yet. (96 Superb wine)

Wish I have more. Ready to drink now and as good as any top grand cru burgundy. Fantastic floral nose intermixed with complex plummy and earthy scent. Admittedly, the nose was better than the actual drinking experience. But it does not mean the wine was not drinking well. Simple the nose was too good...almost Leroy grand cru.

Truffle Dinner (Sydney, Australia): Murky medium red with some slight bricking around the rim. A complex, intriguing savoury nose of earth, mushroom, spice and game. Palate has real texture, finesse and depth. Excellent length. For my taste, I thought this ready to drink. A gorgeous wine that was greatly superior on the palate to a 375ml bottle that I tasted last year.
