It was a pretty cool to drink a wine that is just now ready to drink. for $24, it is a steal and the favorite of the night. On the nose it smelled like cherry leather, dry raspberry, currant, clove, and a black pepper. On the tongue I sensed tar, black fruit leather, earthy decomposing pine needles, followed by a light lingering warmth with hints of pepper and hay. 13.5% ABV For the price this is an amazing experience of a vintage wine. Drink it with blackened chicken or fish. Or drink it alone. It will be good either way.

2010 Two Hands Garden Series plus a lot more (Colonial Beverage, Chesterland Ohio): Purple/ruby in color. The nose has cherries, vanilla and a bit of dill. Also some dust. On the palate, nice cherry fruit. Not much complexity. Good balance. Certainly nothing sensational but a good solid Rioja.
