  • Broken Wings and New Things (Rocknroller's (Kevin & Vicki's Place)): Light gold color. Drank a glass over 30 minutes. Muted nose with mineral and subtle fusil. The palate is mineral driven, dry stone, white fruit, and a little smoke.

  • This wine is now six years old and still incredibly fresh. Showing exuberant Chardonnay flavor with relatively high acidity. Crisp, definitely best with food.

Beautiful straw color and I agree with many if not most of the flavor descriptors in other notes. An unusually pure aroma and flavor of Chardonnay, fantastic clarity in both the visual and flavor.

Bought this on a whim, old Chardonnay, figured it'd be played out maybe apples and nuts. No way, if it's this good after six years I'd say there are a few more to go.

1/17/19 a second bottle, a few additional thoughts. This is a drink now wine, two hours after opening the good stuff diminishes and one is left with grapey acidity. Very good while it lasts, though !

  • Brilliant pale gold. Intense nose of citrus oil, white grapefruit zest with undertones of sourdough and pine needles. As the wine warms, unexpected and complicating notes of elderflower and petrol begin to emerge. Very precise and classic palate underscored by medium+ acidity, tasting of grapefruit and apple-flavored yoghurt with some resinous quality surfacing on the back-end. Substantial evolution over the hour long drinking session. Finishes long, crisp and clean.

  • Pale straw color. Apricot, a little peach, Apple (green?) and some floral notes. Acid is present from the first sip but held pretty much in check by subtle stone fruits. One person at the table thought possibly a Sauvignon Blanc due to the acid cut. There is a noticeable amount of wood, however, 67% is older, so it stays in the background and provides a nice mouthfeel. Amazing value!
