A bit of oxidation, a whiff of sherry led the group (tasting this blind) to conclude an older champagne--likely Blanc de Blanc, although one argued for Italian and another said yes to Chardonnay, but not Champagne. Complexity; well-regarded. Austere with a touch of bitter almonds. Very nice.

Mayweather Pacquiao: Crazy minerals, chalk and sea shells in this wine. Intense, brisk, tart, lots of floral notes come out with time. Green melon and tart apples come out with time. Probably needs to sleep for a while.

Slight oxidative notes, great minerality and drive. Really solid bottle of cremant.
