Decanted for 3 hours. Intense aromas of ripe morello cherries and toasted spices, full bodied but with a lively acidity, intense flavours of ripe black fruits, plums, cherries and wild berries mixed with well integrated oak spices. 1st of a case and maybe a little youthful, but the tannins and spice matched wonderfully with braised pig cheeks. So much more to come here.

Is there any time this Toro will be domesticated? Apparently not. Still savage and energetic. The only way to enjoy it in a more delicate mood, to open it, recork and drink it 24 hours later. That’s what I did with this bottle. In conclusion, you may enjoy it in its pure style pairing it with a beef or tuna steak or give it 24 hours to drink it with a softer pairing. Or wait two-three more years before opening the next one.
