This was really excellent. One of the most enjoyable CA PN’s I have had in a while. Delightfully balanced and harmonious. Fruit (on the red spectrum), non-fruit characteristics (black tea, minerality, forest floor), and acidity. Really remarkably good. Would love to have more and revisit every couple of yrs thru 2024 or so.

Pretty cloudy crimson. A little more austere than I was hoping for. Clearly cool climate and lean. Maybe a bit too lean? Got a lot of acidity, minerality, a little spice, and foresty things, but would have liked to have a bit more fruit. Might just be a personal preference. I've found that I like my Anderson valley pn's to have certain level of "red-fruitedness" and this is just a little bit short. Otherwise, awesome structure and clearly well made.

Compared with our note in Dec 2015: this, our last, had similar attributes, but with even more elegance. Pale ruby with translucence at the edges. The most earthy and restrained Anthill that we recall. Blind, this could be confused for a good Cote de Beaune. Very nice over three nights.
