Last Tuesday Supper Club (One Penny Red, Summer Hill): Leather, earth, wet plums, a little peppery spice, savoury, meaty nose. with time a little red currant and wild cherry underpin. Juicy, slightly sour, black and red fruits, plentiful, silky textured tannins, persist very long with leathery notes, earth and a little peppery spice. In very good nick. Nice.

Mid tawny garnet. Classic Hunter Burgundy again, a touch of spice, dried red fruit, leather; light to medium bodied, fine-boned acid spine, juicy red fruits, leather, clove, nice sustain. This bottle in better condition than the previous one, with more fruit presence and better balance (acid stuck out less).

Pale garnet. Typical aged Lindemans Hunter Burgundy aromatics - red fruits, baking spice, a touch of leather. Acid in the driver's seat, low to medium bodied, sour cherries, a burr on the midpalate, sour cherry tail. Pleasant and straightforward drinking, probably best to drink in the short term.
