  Dark deep purplish red in color. Starts fruit forward, but mellows on the palate. Finishes a medium dry. Nose is spicy, tobacco, black pepper and ripe fruits. Very smooth with a great mix of pepper, fruit, spice, and oak. Very complex, very well balanced. Tannins are very mellowed at this point. Mild acidity. Still drinking great in 2019. For my palate, this is almost the perfect Zin. Lots of spice and pepper, some oak, some fruit, all really well balanced.

  while i enjoy and have had many good zins, it is with trepidation whenever i pull out a primitivo as my experiences have been pretty disappointing... but pnp'd and gave a generous swirl, and over 30 mins I thought this really was a delicious wine and crowd pleaser. .. left my other bottle as a gift for the host... wow that was hard! :)

  Very dark wine almost black but some signs of brickage on the edges. But the middle is very black. Not much on the nose hints of black pepper and spices. On the palate this is a fairly light and crisp wine. A bit watery and very little tannin. The fruit reminds me of blackberry jam. Finish is fairly short and somewhat harsh. Not as good as I hoped.

  Dark deep purplish red in color. On the nose it's very spicy, hints of black pepper and black fruits. Very smooth on the palate mix of spice, tannin, slight oak hints all integrate and balance well with just a hint of acidity. The finish is smooth and moderate. Really in a good drinking spot.
