(Castello di Amorosa La Castellana) Saturated very dark ruby color; refined, ripe plum, ripe berry, blackberry, light vanilla, berry syrup nose; tight, polished, ripe black currant, black fruit, olive, raspberry palate with lowish acidity wrapped in fine French oak; needs 2 years to soften and integrate; medium-plus finish (66% Cabernet Sauvignon, 18% Merlot, 16% Sangiovese; 14.6% alcohol; sample provided by winery)

93 Intense bouquet, flavorful, sweet but spicy with nice long finish
We usually prefer the subtle french style but the boldness was balanced with being very smooth.
