  • Unbelievably still drinking well! The cork was a bit questionable and a bit of green mold on it 😬; but took the plunge and drank it instead of a Sancerre with foie gras over waffles with a strawberry reduction, drizzled with aged balsamic. Happy camper. If get sick, will know it was the wine with the funky cork! Ginny

  • Drank in 2006. Had very earthy flavors and the semi-sweet tones balanced the mushroom flavors. Very complex for a Chenin Blanc and does not have any residual acidity. Overall a good example of aged Chenin. Complimented a Lingot very nicely.

  • Still in good shape. Sharp sweetness, decent acids of citrus peel, but nothing spectacular. I love mature French Chinon blanc, but this is somewhat boring. No real classic chinon funk, alcohol seems a bit high (perhaps due to commercial yeast?) and the finsih a bit flat. Oh well, it was sound and I only paid $15.00 for it, so I think it was worth the gamble.
