Blend of Grenache, Shiraz, and Mourvedre. Maturation in older French and American oak. This was deeply colored and displayed pleasant berry notes (boysenberry, I would say) with the proper backing of oak. Secondary notes of a smoky, meaty nature, presumably from the Shiraz. Drinking smoothly and delivering a lengthy finish. Quite delicious,

Dark berryred, red edge, 5½. Surprisingly southern Rhône like nose, very garrigue almost like old school C9P! Almost elegant taste, again surprise, with som tannin. After a couple of hours eucalyptus notes evolved. Drink now - 2013
