Mid yellow. Lively bead but not much on the nose. Pastry dough and fruit bowl with a hint of lemon sherbet. Lovely weight in the mouth, good concentration - this seems both sweet and savory at the same time. These's a very slight hint of oxidisation here but as Lilbert use no oak, this is either a fault or a result of some extended lees aging, Either way it doesn't detract from a very serviceable mature B de B that finishes whistle clean, like all Bertrand's wines. Drinking well now - no point keeping for too much longer.

Excellent. A richer style of BDB, full of gingery yellow apple and pear fruit. Nicely balanced acidity, with plenty of concentration and power in reserve. Both delicious and complexly interesting.

Showing beautifully in June '17. The elegant fine, mineral Cramant fruit unravelling to add more creamy notes. Pure, fresh, intense this wine shows superb poise. Bravo Bertrand.

Much more of a food companion than an aperitif. Very effervescent with a golden yellow color. Very pleasant drink - paired ok with raw salmon.

Un beau champagne frais et vif, avec une belle acidité, de l'énergie, une bonne longueur et une certaine minéralité. Excellent!
