Fresh, concentrated and structured showing blackberry, plum, licorice and tobacco. Medium bodied and high acidity. Needs some time in the decanter to open up. Decent at the price point. Juicy piece of beef would pairs well with it. NI:4, FI:21, FC:7, B:3, L:4

Drank over three days. Fine, traditional, and quite rustic. Conveying the purest expression of place, charred black earth, blackcurrant, gravel, etc. Highly appealing mouthfeel, impressive tension and cut, noteworthy bones, and perfect balance. Young, likely to evolve over the next seven to ten years, and improve. If more Bordeaux were made in this style the world would be the better for it. 90-91.

Nicely drinking little Bordeaux. I tend to shy away from the base Cru level as there are so many wines with a hollow middle palate. Not so here. Rounded, easy, straightforward middle of the week wine. Seems like it would hold a bit, but this is meant as a cellar defender.
