I rarely get the chance to drink this varietal so when I read that Herencia is one of the top Carmenères in Chile I had to pull the trigger. This is elegant, unique, and deceptively complex. Blackberries, cassis, and Vero Mango Chile pop aromas are enhanced by fresh conifer, herbs, and mocha notes. Firm and linear in the mouth, but layered with depth, structure, and complexity. The finish is succulent and powered by youthful grip and tasty spices. Flat out gorgeous.
