A Margaux at Margaux's Table (Margaux's Table, White Bear Lake, MN): Light-medium gold color. Drank a glass over 90 minutes. Orange blossom nose with tangnerine and citrus, slate with a little fusil quality. The palate is brisk and lively, tangerine, Meyer lemon, slate, lemon pledge and some bitters on the finish along with hints of volatility. Works nicely if not over aerosolized in the mouth. Lots to still like here, but this was probably better 2 or 3 years ago. On the down slope, I'd suggest drinking up.

Sandy clay loam soils. Make a slightly heftier wine. Cover crops and fish emulsion to get nutrition into the soil. Nurture the soil. More in sandier sports like 3D, less in soils with more mass like Hapgood and 3D. This gets into more of a tropical fruit spectrum than the 3D. Pineapple and creamier

Served with appetizers at a dinner with friends. A very nice chardonnay. Muted notes of lemon and tropical citrus, saline notes, moderate use of oak.

Fantastic. Tropical fruits and stone on the nose. Full bodied & well balanced. Drinking great today.
