  • Burgundy Night (A collector's home): Wine B. Spearmint, spicy guava, lemons and some flint on the very lifted and airy nose. Deep, rich, fully ripened fruit, lemon-infused with a lot of chalky tension and spice on the glycerol laden palate. This was much more ready to go than I imagined a 2014 GC from PYCM should be. Second favorite wine of the flight, and my 2nd favorite as well, equal to Wine A but just slightly less tension and energy.

  • Popped and poured. Flint, lemon rind, spice and orchard fruits on the nose. The palate is quite deep and rich and the underlying acidity of the 2014 vintage is balanced with very pure, ripe and deep fruit flavors that are on the lemon and honey side of the equation. This is absolutely delicious and drinking wonderfully.
