pronounced aroma of red fruits like strawberry and sweet stems. it has good intensity and broadness. Acidity and tanning are vibrating, a very good Marsannay.

Nose was mature red fruit, with loads of sweet stem. With air, more spice, sous bois appears. Palate shows a slightly bitter Chinese medicinal note, but also a dense red fruit profile. Piercing levels of acidity for a red (at least for me).

Bottle uncorked in advance and poured into small white wine glasses acting as decanters for the guests. Assessed via Zalto Burgundy glass (“Root” day): Pale purplish ruby to the eyes.
A little leaner but probably also purer, even more penetrating nose than the Le Chapitre - More red fruits and a little savoury.
Same sense given on the palate. Higher acidity (at least standing out a little more) and has good soft touch. Nicely gentle and tight finish with converging flavours.
92-93 points.

Japanese bottle ex-Sotheby’s. Beautiful perfume, mineral black fruit, more dense and structured compared to the Roch on its side. 93-94

medium corked. can noticed from the nose and the short finish. the structure was there but palate was affected.
