  I had no idea what to expect, but was wary of its 15% alcohol. It wears this lightly. A full and smooth mouthful of plum and blackberry, jammy but not confected. A smooth finish. I had assumed this was a Grenache, given the alcohol content and that some Sardinian Grenache creeps over 15% but was surprised to subsequently read it was 100% Merlot. Enjoyed with flank steak with a chilli / coffee rub on the barbecue.
