Good deep colour and nose. Rich dark berry fruit on the palate with soft, integrated tannins and good balance. Plenty of acidity still so it was good with food (sirloin steak). Even better next day when the balance was perfect for slow-cooked lamb shoulder and roasted veg. I seem to be alone in having allowed the wine to mature for a decade. Decent New World Cabernet always ages well IMO. The previous recommended ‘end’ date was much too early for this wine and I have modified it.

2 days in bottle have not been kind to this wine. I am star rating it based on the taste I had Sunday rather than the half-glass I'm having today.
Faded dry berries and husks of grain in nose. I get early dark cherry maybe plum which fades to earthy tobacco and leather. Fruit again later with blackberry as a standout only the finish is fades from sitting or is just lackluster but the berry notes are dry or sour like wild blackberries left too long on the plant so they have cooked the flavors down and out.
