This is in such a delicious place now. Staring to show some secondary development but still bright, fresh, and zingy. Impeccable balance. Pure, precise, and very true to the PYCM style. Highly recommended.

The first glass was very good. Very 2014. PYCM from 2014 is stellar. Sadly the restaurant f-ed up with the coravin so the remained of the bottle wasn’t even in the same ball park as the glass tasted at the restaurant…bummer.

Steve Sigmond's 50th Birthday (Minneapolis, MN): Fortunately a bit softer and easier than the 2013 Chenevottes tasted just before. Quite mineral but nicely balanced with more citrus, a bit more round but still a laser of a wine.

Plus lourd que la dernière fois. La réduction est moindre avec un séjour de 60 minutes en carafe mais le style me semble un peu trop travaillé à mon goût... surtout à ce prix.

In true PYCM form, this subtle but now-perfectly showing, pale gold Chassagne speaks in restrained but such nicely delineated tones-- full of subtle tropical fruit--more on the citrus side at present but also some cumquat and pineapple--along with grassy notes and a complete finish. Needs very little time before it expresses. Since there was no premox, it is worth consuming these wonderful 2014s (including his brilliant St. Aubin's) now and forego future tertiary notes.
