Wine for Passover 2017; 4/15/2017-4/16/2017 (Our Seder at Home): Used for our Passover Seder. It seems a bit better than last year. Very solid Syrah. Purple in color. The nose has black raspberries, slight black pepper. some roasted meats, and some spice. On the palate, this has nice black cherry and black raspberry fruit. A slight bitterness in a good way. Good mouthfeel. Nice finish. $37, this is a very good Syrah. In style, it comes across as middle of the road. Happy to drink this anytime.

Wine for Passover 2016 (Our Seder at Home): This was opened earlier in the day and allowed to breathe. Poured into glasses for Passover seder just before sitting down to dinner. Purple in color. The nose is nice and still improved over the night. Black raspberries, and slight violet note and a bit or warm earthiness. On the palate, this is a round wine, very complete. Enough acidity to carry the food, but not a lot. Good black raspberry fruit. A bit of char. Nice finish. Certainly met and exceeded many of my expectations for an Israeli wine.
