NobleRottersSydney - Christmas Lunch 2019 (Geoffrey's place): {screwcap, 13%} Developing citrus tang, with a tropical fruit overlay. Pear and spices and maybe some cinnamon. Little oak obvious, unless it’s the cinnamon! The palate is oddly watery and dilute, tasting mildly of the aromas but in a low-key way. It’s dry, light/medium-bodied, without oak flavour but seems rather wishy-washy in its short finish. Not convincing.

Rather faulty, the SO2 and matchstick notes mask the other aromas, some hints of green apple, apricots and butter. In the mouth it is well-balanced with a medium concentration and finish.

Canberra, Beechworth & Rutherglen wine tour day one (Canberra): slight melon, muted butter, cream, slight green notes, slight funky notes. In the mouth the has muted flavours of cream butter, green note and melon also with a tiny amount of vanilla. Front of mouth burr. Okay.

Melon and grass , bit of struck match , ripe but a little hollow. OK to sip but not a lot of interest.
