Boom! What an effort this is. Seriously good pinot; the best I've had for quite some months. A curiously funky nose for new world. Gloriously elegant structure, packed with black and red fruits. Mouth texture is fabulous. Very smooth on the mid palette resolving to a little tannic bite and bitterness on the finish. A really good wine. Shame it's so hard to find. I've had mixed experiences with Eden Road in the past, but the last couple of vintages have been stellar across the range.

Canberra, Beechworth & Rutherglen wine tour day one (Canberra): broad, funky, cheesy, more black than red fruit. Juicy with fresh acidity, black over red currant, structured, tannic. Hmm.
