{screwcap, 14.5%} Soft dusty tannins and fairly low acidity are the giveaways to this; a rich ripe red (not overtly cabernet) conveying some of the menthol/eucalypt character of its cool-climate origin, but never to the poit of losing a crowd-friendliness. There's slippery vanilla oak too, black grape flavours, and a short/medium, slippery and slightly warm, but largely dry finish. I think this would have been better just picked a little earlier, with a touch more tannin and acid and commensurately lower levels of alcohol. Drink within 3 years.

Seemed very thin as a second bottle of the night after a nice Cali merlot. Red fruit. Not much punch, but pleasant enough at this price.

Last of my four bottles, interesting, but better stuff from Australia.

Not as good as the last bottle. Has a good amount of dark fruit but the finish as a little astringent...

GRAEMEG writes a great summary of this wine. Pretty solid and interesting but not mind blowing...
