Still powerful. Tannins are almost overwhelming. Took almost 40 minutes to open. Smoke, leather, and pepper on the nose. Smoothed out nicely. A big Cabernet. This will still be great in 3 to 4 years.

Opened at Anvil. This was decanted for two plus hours by the time we drank it. I did not get the green notes that Allred mentioned, but I did get lavender and dark fruits in abundance. Wonderful with the lamb.

Courtesy of tlv. In a word- fantastic. Decanted for a few hours. This is my kind of "old school" Cabernet- reminds me of the old Laurel Glens with a terrific herbal green quality. Aromas of green pepper, eucalyptus, currants and cassis. There's a subtle lavender note in the background (evidently TLV mentioned this 10 minutes ago but I was arguing with Domino about 'green' notes and missed his commentary). Plush tannins, nicely ripe for the "cool" year; red plum, currant and herb flavors. Lengthy finish. Excellent. Enjoy while the "better" vintages rest in the cellar.

Meyer Family dinner at Boulder. A step up from the Spitfire and Fluffy Billows. Dark fruits and currants on the nose and palate. Nicely integrated tannins and excellent balance. A pleasant surprise.

Monster cherry bomb here. Sweet tobacco, dark chocolate, but dominant fruit. 12.8% alc, much appreciated!! Very nice mouthfeel and fruit showcase with lower alcohol I thought.
