  Still youthful with great clarity and light straw yellow color. At first floral with matured apricot and a touch of smoke and wood, even a light buttery tone. The nose is persuasive with a great expression of riesling character. Unfortunately the palate doesn't follow. Smooth and soft, even flat and too polished with low acidity that isn't characteristic of a riesling. It was intended to copy an Alsace style riesling. The taste is mellow with a woody, bitter after finish. Great to show riesling versatility. 85/100
