Showing some age in the color, ruby with a garnet rim. Intense cherry notes. Earth, spice, pepper. Notes of aging: toast, caramel, chocolate. Sweet cream. Aged/dried rose. On the palate, ripe and tart cherry, sweet red roses. Cream, pepper, earth. Incredibly balanced. Smooth but an acid-driven finish. Could easily age another 2-3 years. But very good right now.

Serious tannins when opened, better after an hour, but really 2hrs should be aimed at this point. Nose and palate are interplaying nicely, which I like to see. Darker berries, cranberries, mocca and mellow spices, lean energetic body with some minerality, very true to the Montalcino terroir. There is no other place to make that clean expression of sangiovese. If stereotyped it is a man in his late 20s, no tertiary aromas yet, and surely it will age beautifully. I hope I will stay away from my other 2 bottles for 3-4y at least.

Dark garnet, with aromas of spice cake, cranberries, and lots of oaky aromas: toffee, creme caramel, vanilla. Sweet fruit wrapped in soft tannins, mid-weight palate, fairly long finish. Enjoyable now, although a bit simple.

Nice one, very pure and clean, with spices and dark cherries, nice balance overall, just be sure you give it enough air.
