The first bottle of this Champagne for a while ... in a great spot right now. I'm a big fan of this cuvée with a bit of age. Pinot 50%, Chardonnay 50%. Rusty red colour, small bubbles. A bouquet of preserved and fresh strawberries, raspberries and cherries, red currant jam, lemon citrus and wild flowers. On palate, rich and full, yet with citric precision. Mineral and red berried, very appealing. Savoury, soil-driven and toasty. Drink by say 2034.

Champagne and claret (John's place, Croton): Pretty wine; lots of bright red fruit and faint herbal/yeasty/toasty notes over a chalky mineral base with a bright acidic spine. Very refreshing and easy to drink.

Golden Copper color. Yeasty red fruit nose. Soft fine mousse and ongoing gentle stream of bubbles. Smooth red fruit flavor on palate with some leesy flavors and a pronounced nutty finish. Very smooth and elegant

Soft but not flabby, elegant mousse, red fruited with orange zest and smoke. Complex. A-/B+
