The blend (45% Grenache, 36% Syrah, 19% Mouvedre) looked like a very interesting Rhone-style wine. However, I found this to be a heavy handed fruit bomb that is often typical of some Paso Robles wines. The nose was very simple compared to the blend's pedigree of grapes. This wine could serve as a quaff-er for drinking and conversation, but it lacks the balance and finesse needed to go with a good meal. Compared to the other folk rating this wine, I am clearly in the minority. To each his own, I guess.

Wife went apesh$% for this anad would go 92+ easily. Nice red fruit and body, not much of a nose. Big but well knit tannins. More tannic than most of the GSM's I've had from Paso, but also more structured.

Rich, fruit forward with a great finish that lingers. Open and drink as this one doesn't need the time in the decanter. Can't go wrong drinking now.

Dark, rich, fruit forward with smooth finish that lingers. Plums, blackberries, and red current lead the way with a mild earthiness following.

Smooth rounded tannins, strawberry and cherries and a ripe and mature level and a soft mouthfeel. Time has treated this wine well.
