Hazy notes from a couple of days ago. A nice medium bodied pinot with more concentration and flavour than its light appearance would suggest. On the strawberries, cranberries fruit spectrum, with good acidity, improving and integrating with age (B+/A-).

Now showing some bottle age. A little thinning orange around the rim but nice dark colour in the glass with the extract showing some density, as I like them. Screwcap so plenty of life left in this wine.
Nose of macerated cherries, some rhubarb compote, raspberries, strawberry compote too. At least even at this age its inviting you to drink and enjoy, which I did.
It certainly tastes like a big Pinot to me - still with plenty of fruit but balancing acidity and some tannin carrying flavours of the fruits of the forest into the mid palate. Its quite smooth and well balanced and I do get some back palate residual fruit and acidity so overall its well worth its price. Any earlier life tartness has given way to macerated fruit and a much better balance I think. A slight Tea influence I might go along with but no grassy flavours in my opinion.

Black cherry aromas. Feels just shy of some pomegranate fruit. Acid, angular, medium/- tannin, med/+ acid. Not loads of sweet fruit, more Burg mid-palate.

Alcohol infused somewhat charming if your in the right rustic kind of mood vegetable mash. Great match for pork belly. Actuslly enjoying this. It's a 'big' pinot.
