After 2 recent bottles that were too advanced and oxidised it was great to have one in good condition. Classic Chablis, quite linear and mineral but with some curve and fruit to stop this being hard work. Lovely. From the same case and had the same storage conditions as the advanced bottles. 4

2-3 years ago this had a lovely racy acidity and zing, but that’s died away and now it seems a little bland and flabby. Agree with Chris below, drink up. On a downward slide. Nice enough but better a couple of years ago and has not lasted as well as expected given its level. Oyster shell, lemon and a definite Chablis profile but lacking the balancing zip that characterised it previously. This used to be a beautiful wine (final bottle of 6) but now it’s just… good… and won’t be getting better.

Premox strikes again. Similar to a bottle a couple of weeks ago. Way too advanced for a 9 year old premier cru Chablis from a good producer in a good vintage. Not undrinkable but no freshness and quite manzanilla like. Drink up as fast as possible on the evidence of these last 2 bottles.

Although I liked this it was too advanced for a nine year old 1er cru Chablis for a good vintage and good producer. Amber colour, nutty, oxidative/sherry like and butter popcorn. Will be drinking last 4 bottles pronto and keeping fingers crossed this bottle has a dodgy cork. 3.5-

A good bottle. Fresh which was a relief after a couple were premoxed. Classic mature Chablis.
