Still lovely after sitting in the cellar for what the published reviews say is too long. Lots of apple and peach on the nose, and a lovely grassy note on the pallette. Still has some years left for anyone who has one on the shelf.

Almost perfectly matured. Tasted in Oct 2016. Since then the flavours have become almost buttery. Still loads of ripe fruit on the nose and palate. Acid has evened out. Finish remains short. Drinking now till mid 2019. Such good value too.

Majestic UK approx £16 Screw cap. Was well chilled (ice bucket after fridge)
Wow. Drinking superbly now, and I don't see how it's going to get any better than this. At 2 yrs bottle age it's ready. Outstanding single vineyard Martinborough Sav Blanc for this price. What a stellar vintage 2015 turned out to be in that part of the North Island.
C....straw.
N.....big soft and open, white and yellow fruits, good intensity, some wood. Charming, seductive.
T.....still has the acid needed to balance all that ripe fruit. Seems mature - or at least drinking so well I wonder, 'can it get any better?' No. So why cellar it? It follows on from the Nose, big and soft and round - but not flabby, yet - such a nice change from those aggressive grassy thrusting Marlb' Sav Blancs from the South Island. A nice gentle minerality which creeps up late. There's a lot going on here. Kinda' dry finish. Not necc' a Foodie style, is fine on its own. Super-gluggable. Don't keep, drink up. One of the most sophisticated NZ Sav Blancs I've had. Ever.
VFM? Brill. Worth every penny of £16.00. Defo buy again, though a warning: 2017 vintage in some NZ regions a ''difficult'' season with rain and cool periods, very wet unsettled Spring, dodgy in most places (check the Regional DETAIL in your online Vintage Reports), 2017 won't be a patch on 2015 and 2016. Buy the 2016 where you can find it.
